There is no difference here with inDuality you can access OpenSim servers. Also the approach between inDuality and what Adam has done are quite different. Adam;s approach is novel however, inDuality runs a native browser plugin and is not dependent on Silverlight and therefore does not have the same restrictions. Also with inDuality you can move from one virtual worlds to another as inDuality is content agnostic so you could go.

You mentioned Facebook, here is a screen shot of inDuality running as a Facebook application while rendering Bade Plaza from OSGrid.
